How's it Going?

It's going..that's all I can say...this has been quite a week..I mean to the point where I was waiting for the locusts to show up. I swear day after day something else just "happened" whether it be funny or not, it just happened....

Monday - was a day off, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, after attending the Iron Maiden concert having a day to literally lay around and do nothing would have been awesome.....but we're talking about me here so I ventured downtown to get tix to yet ANOTHER concert Wendi and I will be attending in April and enjoy the downtown crowd, course battling some sort of bronchial infection didn't make it any more fun but I did it.......and incidently im still coughing.....Monday seemed to be a normal day....nothing really major to report...seems tho when tuesday came about..things started to get a bit...well odd is a good word....humerous for some Im sure..but...well ok anyway here goes.......

Tuesday - first off, for some reason, the rain on the road seemed to limit how everyone drove..as if the RAIN has the same impact that a foot of snow would.....regardless, even after arriving to work 10 min late, it seemed everyone had that issue, so no harm there. The usual barage of phone calls and paperwork took up my morning and then I felt the need, as I have been feeling under the weather, to go to Timmie's for a soup.....then it started.........going thru drive thru I got to the speaker and ordered "Could I please get a chicken noodle soup with a tea biscuit"..expecting the usual reply of "anything else"...instead shocked to get "it comes with a bun".........um....ok..."yes I know that, I'd like a tea biscuit please"........."but it COMES with a bun"........ok, wiseass...."yes I know it comes with a BUN, I'd like to have a TEA BISCUIT instead"......"oh..........I dont know if we can do that".......Im sorry did someone just instill a new "no substitutions" policy at Tim's, is there a BUN inventory count at the end of the day that I was going to somehow fuck up now cause I WANTED a tea biscuit and anyway WHAT does it matter, maybe I wanted the bun AND the tea biscuit, how did they know, maybe the tea biscuit was for someone else, was it their right to ASSUME just because.........all interesting questions I know but in drive thru this is all happening at a rapid rate......finally got thru to them that I wanted a TEA BISCUIT and made my way to the window........7 people behind the window waiting to give me my order.....and this is what I was greeted with "oh...you're the tea biscuit woman..."...GOOD GAWD..................im going to Coffee Time next time....

Wednesday - I spent a 1/2 hour on the phone with the 407 trying to merge two business accounts......image "who's on first" with someone that doesn't speak English very well.....it's a wonder I haven't gone postal....seriously..I believe my boss found it most funny to see me after that call with my head on my desk muttering "why me....".........After that was the rest of my day trying to explain to a coworker that unless you get a paper record (email, fax) of a quote it doesn't exist, if you get a BIG quote from a large company (like rogers or telus for example) and you have no proof of the conversation, as far as Im concerned, it didn't happen...saying it happened doesn't give me anything to fall back on......a record of the conversation in this day and age is NOT hard to expect...but try explaining that to someone that doesn't understand that..I would have been better off either doing it myself or banging my head against the wall, both much more productive activities than the waste of time I chose instead trying to explain this to the person I was trying to explain it to....ARGH!!!

Thursday - seemed to start out as a normal day..nothing to major..until late in the day a customer showed up to the office......."I have to drop off some cheques, I owe money"....***side note, as part of my job I do AR's, collections, calling customers to update accounts and collect on overdue accounts***......"great", I said "you can give them to me"...he paused...seemed almost too LONG of a pause.."are you...ANDREA"....."...um...yes why"......"OMG!!!!!!!!, I LOVE you, yo uare the sweetest of sweeties ever...every time you CALL me for money and I dont answer, I save your messages and when im down..I listen to them...you have the nicest phone voice ever....GAWD you are sweet"....***insert Andrea going "oh...ok, well isn't that nice"..as she backs away from said customer and starts to get more and more scared........

Great, it's all I need now, an overly dressed slightly light in the loafers over excited man now very excited at the sound of my phone voice.......have I mentioned how much I LOVED my week.......

I think it's time for a vacation...either that or an identity change...........

anyway I felt the need to share..even if you just get a laugh...I felt the need to share...

HAPPY EASTER everyone....
