End of Summer Thoughts

So I thought it was about time I wrote something (actually truth be told, I had been perusing my fave blogs and came across JIN's definition of my comings and goings in blogland and thought I better STEP up my game and get back to writing a little more frequently.....my brain is slowly going to mush, I can feel it)...so here I am, writing again....

Summer has been BUSY, I mean literally non-stop. My weekends are constantly full of things to do and generally have been really fun.......

A few interesting things have definately happened over the summer..it's time for a recap

Wendi, Krissy, Crech and myself have been labled the POD....some people know the explination, some dont..here it is. Because the four of us literally have been accused of having the same brain, that we're practically attached at the hip, we've been labled the FOUR peas in a POD..or just POD for short. Not quite sure who actually came up with the term (I think it was wendi) but a more fitting title could not be closer to the truth. it's true, we're literally always together, commetning, laughing, joking around. It's rare to find one person you truly click with, I've been blessed with three.....and it's great to have some people around that just GET me......without explination..that's the best part...

Work is Awesome...odd statement I realize, but it is. After leaving my prior comfort zone of a job that I had had for a LONG period of time, I ventured, and I found that I too could venture out, make more money and be happy in a new environment. The change proved to be a good one and im truly happy in my new work home.

I joined weight watchers. Best move I have made. I'm already down a significant amount, I dont find myself going mental and it really works. I love it. Coupled with that, Iv'e been quite active at the gym again. Having wendi as a GYM partner is the best motivation. Having her to chat with during those long runs on the eliptical makes the time fly and having her there is GREAT...she's the motivation I need to get there - and I think we do that for each other..just wait till next summer........

Tonio is no longer my little boy, he's becoming my little man. What a cutie he is, (ok, yeah im a bit biased) but it's amazing to me that he starts Grade 2 in a few days, that his personality is becoming more and more like mine (god help us all) and he's just such a delight......he also has the BEST belly laugh in the world..it's my fave sound in the world......

I've met up with some old friends over the summer, like Katy who is truly one the coolest people I know. I've made some new friends, like Blair, who makes me laugh every time he talks.....and I've learned that some people still haven't learned the meaning of the word "friend" and what is takes to keep one...and what it will do to your life to lose one....that is the sad part I suppose..

its been a good summer...all in all I have very little to complain about it....you know..except that it's over soon....
